I got my hands on 6 Qts of 0-30 Amsoil... I know the lower number represents the viscosisty of the oild cold (right?) so what would happen if I used that in my JCW?

 

nothing.. it should lube your engine nicely.. hey, if you want to see how well it pours at freezing temps.. put a quart in your freezer.. wait about 4 hours or so and pour some in disposable cup.. there you have it..

 

I thought so... but in Houston we rarely get near freezing

 

Yeah, there's little chance that your oil will ever get cold enough to become a 0 weight in Houston. It will protect the engine just fine.
