H7 & H11 Upgrades

So, has anyone out there upgraded:

Stock H7 55 Watt highbeam to H7 80W?

What about changing the H11 55W fogs to H9 65Watts?

If you had any relay/heat issues, please share...

A belated Happy New Year,

-B

Some ppl have done the 65W H7 but I don't believe they really add that much. 80W may be pushing it for the wiring. Do not do 100W, they wlll prolly fry the wiring.

You won't have electrical problems with a 10-watt upgrade, and quality 65-watt H-7 bulbs can produce about 50% more lumens than stock.

To replace the H-11's with H-9's, you have to modify the socket, by cutting thru a thin web that is there to prevent your doing so. It takes about 3 minutes with a Dremel. It works fine, and is a nice match to bright-gold froglight protective film. Again, about a 50% upgrade in output.

Go to http://www.danielsternlighting.com for good prices and lots of info.
