i just took delivery of a new 2006 MCS. i asked the dealer NOT to mount the front license plate holder. i just noted two slight dimples on the front bumper. do all minis come with the same dimples as "guides" for actually drilling the holes or did my dealer attempt to cover the holes after drilling them? my m3 and my lexus sc both have a perfectly smooth bumper face with no dimples.

yes, all the cars have dimples in the bumper, they are the guide for the pilot holes.

 

My '05 had little dimples like you describe.

I have an 06 MC convertible and the front bumper has no such dimples. My MA told me that the MCS's come from the factory with such dimples. But the MC's do not come that way.
