As I was idly playing with a new 2006 config on the MINIUSA website I saw there's now a pair of gauges (boost and battery) that can be ordered and which fit on either side of the tach. Are these something that can be ordered from the dealer and retrofitted onto a 2005?? Has anyone done this?

Yes you can. I have them on my 03. They are hard to see at night. The needle on the boost gauge does not light up. Do a search on gauges and you'll see what people have said. List I think is $320.00. Check with Classic. I believe they sell them for around $260.00.

I can live with the boost gauge needle not showing up at night, though of course I'd prefer it if everything could be seen easily at night, so I may look around at alternatives.

One more question if you don't mind - how high does the boost gauge read to?

 

I believe it is one or two lines past 15. Car is in storage for winter so I can't check for sure. If you go to the other threads there is some pictures.
