That's Bill Gause. Great guy (we drove up from LA and back together). I'm not sure of his NAM Username, but he's on SCMM. I'll drop him an email and tell him you're lookimng for him.

#17

David,
Hi, I'm Bill. I guess I have to take the blame for # 17. I wanted to get with you b/4 I left Monterey and thank you for the instructions. I really was jazzed about that track day. In fact Im still pumped!! Thanks again for your expertise.
The brakes are just some 11 inch slotted/vented rotors with stock calipers, adaptor brackets, and EBC green pads. I was told the rotors are actually BMW but Im not sure. I'm using S/S lines and hi temp fluid. It is a kit that Steve's Auto installs here in So. Cal. You can contact him at

Ive used them at Willow Springs (Streets of Willow)and Laguna Seca without any complaint. No fade, they seem to run cool and in 6000 street miles no noise either.
Hope your trip up the coast was enjoyable. Let me know if you need any more info on the brakes and once again thanks for helping make the Laguna Seca experience a total blast!!!!! BILL

Thanks Bill. It was a pleasure to meet you and I hope I was some help to you on the track. Laguna was a new track to me so I had lots to learn myself. If you ever make it east to some of my regular tracks we could get into some serious lap times.
It was an adventure getting home as we ran into an ice storm in Texas but had a really great trip. It was great getting to meet several of you left coasters.
Thanks for the brake info. They felt good on the track.
