Icelink/5g iPod problems

Has anyone used their new 5g iPod on their existing Icelink? On mine, the fast forward on the steering wheel no longer works. Along with some other small intermittant problems. Anyone else?

I am using my Ipod Video with Ice Link plus. I had to upgrade to the latest firmware to get the steering wheel buttons to work. I have noticed that everyonce in a while the Ice Link will quit working on me. I generally have to pull my Ipod out of the cradle and then drop it back in. It will reboot and then the stereo will see it again. Not sure what is causing it but it is rather annoying. When it dies I can not use any of the controls on either the head unit or the steering wheel. Is this the problem you are having?

That's on of the problems I've always had, but I've grown to live with that. My main concern now is that I have no fast forward, and it always skips the first song of an album/playlist. Phone calls and emails seem to be getting me nowhere...but I'll keep trying.

Been using my 5G for about a week. Latest IceLink soft. Seems to work fine so far.

I was having the same problems with a 4th generation ipod photo. I'm waiting for a new ice-link+ control module to try. Sometimes it would just stop working and others it would force the ipod to reboot. It started doing it nearly everyday though so I sent it back for a new one.
