Removing Wheel Center Caps?

I'd like to remove the center adhesive MINI caps on my S-Lites. Anyone have a suggestion for the safest way to do this? I figured I could shove a screwdriver back there, but that might scratch things up a bit.

Use a hairdryer at its highest setting and the adhesive should become "liquid." Then use a small flathead. H

You mean popping out the whole cap? With the wheels off they just snap out. Any attempt to remove the MINI label (haven't really looked to see how it's attached, but likely just glued as Moskito surmised) would be easier with the caps out of the wheels.

I bought the black MINI logo caps for my aftermarket wheels. They are metal disks with double stick tape on the back. If I were trying to remove one from an OEM hubcap, I would slip a utility knife blade under an edge, lift up enough to slide dental floss in, and saw away with the floss. The hairdryer idea might work too. Don't sweat it if you damage one. They are about $2 each MSRP. Mine came from Classic MINI at $1.53 each (part# 36 13 6 758 687). If you want to be different, replace them with JCW versions (same size) for about a dollar more.
