I was running a Mirrorkana event in Atlanta yesterday and ran into Rob Carpenter. He was there in the his Celica. I asked him what his plans were for next year. Rob won't be driving a Miata again in '06. He'll be campaigning his Celica. I guess this will put to rest how far off the Celica is from the '05 and up MCS. Rob beat me by 1.2 seconds on a 65 second course during the qualifying session. He knocked me out of the final round in a head to head race by a little less that that I would say since they don't time your head to head races.

Good to hear, I was always hoping rob would give it a whirl in the Celi! Man, there are a couple heavy hitters moving in for 06 running Mini's that were top competitors in other classes. Should be interesting.
