Any coopers with OBX header?
Any coopers with OBX header?
Would love to hear anything good or bad about it.
Most importantly, does it increase low end torque or does it just shift the powerband further up the rev range i.e. makes the engine more peaky?
thanks.

When considering headers you will have to decide on a 4-2-1 design which is more torque oriented or a 4-1 design which is more top end oriented. I have the 4-2-1 on my MCS and love what it did to the torque curve. You should check out the thread "OBX header" in the MCS section.
A header can be purchased from 200.00 on up and I have no doubt that it will compliment a MC daily driveablity. Mate this up with a freer flow exhaust and air cleaner and it should round out the MC very nicely.

i just put one one my car friday, all in all i say it was worth it. It seemed to lower the powerband about 100-200 rpms, so that helps a little, getting on the freeway when i shifted it felt like i was always in a powerband too. I have it mated with a borla exhaust and over all its not any louder but i am running the stock cat so...
I put one on too last week with a high flow cat. The increase in torque and spoolup was noticeable. I think that it is in the lowend range coming out of the hole. A bit more noise, but not bad. Fun bang for the bucks.
