Webb Motorsports Rear Swaybar

Well, the testing is in full swing now, and we are talking about full tilt track testing!

The prototype is on the car, and even in its rudimentary test form, it is beautiful. This unit is full race quality, and uses technology previously unavailable to the MINI community. In final form, the unit will be anodized - red (because it is the fastest) for all aluminum bits and black for the chrome moly.

The center piece of the unit is tubular chrome moly, and will be splined on the production version (the prototype was square holed). The end arms are billet aluminum with sliders that allow total control of moment arm distance. The kit also includes very high quality droplinkis that allow preload adjustment and prevent and movement from the slider position. The pillow mounts are uber-trick and include totally different bushings than are available anywhere else on the market - again, full race stuff that is adapted for the street as well.

The whole kit weighs in at an industry low of 7.5 lbs.

Here are the pics of the prototype on the test car here in Denver (feel free to stop by and check it out):

Stay tuned! We hope to have this unit in production within the next two weeks. Pricing with the droplinks will be around $475.

Enjoy!

After testing all day at the track, this bar is a winner! I am very happy with the linear translation of this bar. It is a totally different feel from any other bar on the market.

You can make this bar softer than stock all the way to oversteer on demand. We had no issues with the bar after testing all day, two drivers.

Look for the production run to be completed in time for the Christmas season.

Randy
