Dension Confusion

I just purchased a Dension ICE>LINK and I've been reading that there is a way for the stock HU (Head Unit) to display texy from your iPod. I've read various posts on here on NAM about this but it's all confusing to me (I've had to weed through sooooo much and it left me BEWILDERED to be honest!!!) . Is there anyone out there who has done this and would be willing to provide a clear write up on how to get this done??!?!? I am also looking for the file (files??) needed to complete this procedure (on their site it keeps coming up :"NOT FOUND: The requested URL /text_display_support.htm was not found on this server.
" when I go to the file/files download page) . If you would like you can PM me for an e-mail to send the files to. As for the instructions you can post them here as I feel , for some reason, I am not the only one confused on how to go about this.

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

BTW I have a 2003 Cooper S, if that matters any in this procedure.

Sadly this is what matters the most. Only radios that were installed in cars built after Jan '05 will display ID3 tag text on the head unit display.

The only option you have is to try and find a newer radio (potentially from somebody who upgraded their system) and replace your current one with that one...

Sorry.

I find that hard to believe , that all these people saying, "Yay, I have text display!!!!" are all 2005-ers. Well I guess that's how the cookie crumbles .

Trust me, it's been tried on earlier radios it doesn't work...

Feel free to try it anyway, you've been warned...
