Just got off the phone with the good people at ASK-MINI. They told me that my car has been shipped. They couldn't tell me what ship it was on or when it will land here. So I called my substitute MA. (My original one resigned) He said there was no way he could tell me any info. When I told him that the people at ASK-MINI said that he could, he then became a fountain of great info. My car's on the Dyci Pamplona, it sailed on the 10th bound for NYC with a ETA of Oct 24. He said I should have my beauty the next week. I'm so happy!!! This is going to be a long couple of weeks I'm afraid.

Congrats, Chuck....what great news, despite the initial flaky response from the sub M.A. Once you take delivery, that glitch will be forgotten! :smile:

All you good folks here have been great to talk with. Helps the time pass a bit easier. Just a bit. At least while we're waiting we don't have to pay for our toys. Yet! I am having trouble not buying new toys for my new toy while I wait. I think I might need some therapy.

Well, from what I've read on this thread, I'm really disappointed with my MA, Debbie at MINI of Murray. She specifically told me that she didn't know which ship my car was on, and couldn't find out. What is the deal with that?

 

Sounds like your a week 40. I'm on the Dyvi Pamplona as well. I think is due in South Carolina the 24th. Depending on were you bought your car, it my get here sooner

Thanks for the info & the link. I had assumed that my car was landing in NYC. Boy would I have felt stupid standing there with flowers in hand waiting for a ship that was never coming. I hope our cars are enjoying the ride.

Call your MA & ask to speak with her boss. I bet that makes her just a bit more helpful. If it doesn't she really doesn't get it. There is probably one person at your dealer that does the ordering....seek them out.

Your welcome. You can join us in the production week 40 thread. There is alot of good info there. One of the admins (DiD) for this site is a week 40er.
