Forgive me if I missed this posting elsewhere and this is repeat info, but. . . .the announcement has come down that next years honored marque at the Monterey Historics at Laguna Seca will be Cooper.

For those of you that have never attended this fantastic weekend here's the perfect year to begin. As a regular attendee I recommend hitting the Concorso Italiano gathering on Friday, then spending the next two days at the race track. Pebble Beach on Sunday morning is to be done at least once, but its expensive and crowded.

The Golden Gate Chapter of the BMW Club traditionally has a corral at the track and a good showing of Mini's has been there the past few years. Be nice to see even more of us next year!! The Central Cal Chapter typically hosts a corral at the Italiano event and it is a must if you are planning on attending that day.

Keep an eye open for more news next year as the August 18, 2006 weekend gets closer. But if you are thinking of doing this I highly recommend getting your hotel reservations soon--they book up very quickly.
