I need tires

Two extremes here..

Falken ZE 512 - all season

Falken ST 615 - autocross/street tire

Which one should I buy?

I like to drive fast on occasion but a lot of the time I am just putting along in SF traffic. 512s in 215/45/17 are cheap at $68 plus shipping while the 615..don't know yet because I didn't find that size yet.

What are you guys running and under what circumstances?

Sounds like we have similar driving styles.
I have the 512's. I did notice the turn in is not as good as the runbricks but, overall they are very nice tires. I took an internet ad for the tires to a local Discount Tire and they matched it

My friend has the Ze-512 on his M3 E36 and he thinks they handle pretty good for all season tires. At that price, I am considering it...$68 a pop and shipping is $38 bucks.

But I always think, I am going to take out on the track, etc. Maybe, I should just buy a set of track wheels? My wife would kill me if I did that.

Try this "Honey I have saved ($ for runflats)-(Ze-512's)=$$$ for wheels and track tires"

Good idea! Now, I just need to hide the track wheels from here.
