17" VS 16" RunFlats

Finally getting my coop s 2006 in NOV. I prefer the look of the 17"s however I live in Portland, and I plan on going up to MT Hood to ski and zoom around the city and take a few roadtrips. I'm getting the R90s in sliver. Question I have is, ultimatly which is better in the long run 17" or 16". I don't mind the bone jarring ride of a gocart, just not sure my co-pilot will. She like's a bit of comfort. Anyone have an opinion here?
cheers

Both options will work on smooth roads.

The 16" runflats are lighter in weight, smoother and cost less.

The 17" runflats are slightly better in performance for cornering but with the added weight might feel a bit sluggish. They ride a bit rougher especially on uneven roads.

If you can, the 16" runflats are a better choice for most owners.

Many owners feel that the 17" wheels look nicer.

R90 rims come in 17x7" (expensive and a two piece design)
or 16x6.5" (less expensive but look similar -minus the bolts)

I have the 17'' and they do corner better (due to the low profile tires), but if there's bumps on the road, i dont think they may be the best thing for comfort Ill be trying 17'' with snowtires this winter too heh, will be some good fun V rated tires (Run Flat) didnt run my MINI through the winter last winter looked sad in the garage so im going to give it a shot

My wifes S has 17" runflats. My S had 16" runflats but I've changed to 17" non-runflats. In all honesty, with the exception of really hard driving, I'm hard pressed to tell any difference at all. The numbers will say there's a small difference but unless you're on the track, you'll likely notice little if any difference. I'd say buy what looks best ot you. My $.02
