We've been flooded with emails over the last month or so regarding MINI Fini and why their site is down and why none of the MINI dealers know what's going on with their product line and why no one can get a hold of them. We have also been in the same boat and have a large number of open orders for Tow Link, sport links and other MINI fini products and wer have been unable to get.

Well, about 4 weeks ago, I got ahold of one of the original people in the business as the rest had left the company. Over the last few weeks I have had many conversations with this key individual which have been very upbeat and positive. They have had major set backs and are in a transitional period where the company ownership is changing hands. This has been compounded by loss of key staff, moving warehousing and distribution to new warehouses and shifting manufacturing to new locations. So, this has resulted in backorders to our customers as well as many who are trying to get stuff from their MINI dealers.

They are not going the direction of going out of business, they're just struggling with some stuff and will be slowly getting back up to speed as they work through this transition. They're still supplying BMW/MINI as well as Out Motoring and will have production back up to speed soon.

That's about all the "open information" I can share here, but I thought inquiring minds would like to know.
