So, I was waiting my turn to have Randy install my new pulley on Saturday and I noticed my boot was speckled with little brownish-red dots. It is as if it got lightly sprayed with something. Today I tried clay bar, cleaner wax, even a tiny bit of polishing compound (as much as I dared - which wasn't much) and now I need a pro. I imagine this stuff can hopefully be polished off, but I need an expert opinion and hopefully some expert skill.

Anyone have any recomendations for some help in SoCal? Particularly someone local to (or who travels to) West LA area?

supergimp, take your MINI to a c3 detailing party at club headquarters in West Los Angeles. They are usually held monthly.

Club President, Richard (OctaneGuy), has all the skills and products to show YOU how to professionally detail your MINI. You probably need to claybar it, at the least. Thanks, Clo. I do intend to hang with the C3 guys sometime. I have a bit of detail experience, but this it out of my league. I've been through the claybar attempt already and now I'm a bit nervous.
