Webb Motorsports Updates!
Webb Motorsports Updates!
Cool things, that's the update! We have some very revolutionary new products that will be ready within days...
Here are a few of the things we are working on:
Webb Motorsports Exhaust

This is the prototype of the Webb Motorsports Exhaust. It uses a butterfly valve to control A: Noise and B:Torque. More info to follow, but it is larger than most systems on the market, uses T-304 including the flanges, and makes use of technology nowhere else available on the MINI market.
Webb Motorsports Swaybar

This is the prototype of the new Webb Motorsports Rear Swaybar. It uses the highest technology of current road racing manufacturing. This bar uses a tubular splined main bar, machined end caps, a slider heim joint droplink, and aluminum pillow mounts. This will allow the installer to cut one end of the stock bar off and slide it out, doing away with the need to drop the rear subframe during the installtion (if desired - you can still install it the old fashioned way). You can also adjust preload as well as stiffness. It will also be the lightest on the market.
Gintani Intercooler

This is the Gintani intake manifold/charge cooler. We will be doing a full evaluation on this unit and working with Gintani on development. Stay tuned...
Product Evaluations
Speaking of evaluation, we are working on several items, and plan on posting all of the info within the next week.
Alta Crank Pulleys

This has been in the test regime for the last 4 months or so. We now have over 10,000 miles on the pulley including a lot of track condition testing. I am using the pulleys on two different cars as well - one with the 2% and one with the stock size, as well as one with a stock flywheel and one with a lightened flywheel.
I will be posting the entire eval within the next few days, including our longevity findings and dyno runs.
M7 Air Gain System

The M7 Air Gain System. Most of you know I have been doing an evaluation of this unit, and we are finishing up our dyno runs. I wanted more than one car, and several different levels of modifications to know exactly what this unit does.
I should have this posted within the next week.
Larini Header

This is the Larini header. I have been evaluating this for cat longevity over the last 4 months. The full write up with dyno runs will be posted within the next two weeks.
Webb Motorsports/Helix Coop

Webb Motorsports has been working with Helix on several fronts, and we are happy to announce we will be carrying many of the Helix products. This is a set of the control arms, and we are adding this and several other items to the catalog within the next two weeks.
Stay tuned for more exciting info on the Webb Motorsports/Helix relationship!
Webb Motorsports Pulley Parties
As far as our schedule, we've been busy on the installation front also! In addition to the current projects we have at the shop, we attended the MINI Meet West in San Ramon a few weeks back and made many new friends, as well as taking two wins on the track day!
Here are some photos from that event:

We then headed out to Chicago for a pulley install event. Great fun was had by all, and I look forward to returning!
This weekend we have a full event at Bimmers Clinic in Reseda, CA. Here's the link for that one:

On September 3 and 4, we will be at the All British Car Show in Kansas City, and we will be installing parts on site as well as displaying a couple of our cars. Here is a link for that event:

We are also looking at attending MINI United in Italy! This would be the first Webb Motorsports pulley party in Europe, and I would bring my wife to that one!!
Business Improvements
On the business side, we have hired another employee. Brian Black has already talked with many of you. Now we are looking for a full time office manager with Quickbook skills, and we will be all set for the employee line up! Everyone that works here drives a MINI. Scott, James, Brian and I are all working very hard at returning every call and e-mail promptly and taking care of your orders, online and by phone, as quickly as possible. To that end, we have implemented a new Purchase Order system as well as adding to our inventory. Our service will continue to improve - it is currently my highest priority!!!
Conclusion
Look for the evaluations of the above products soon, as well as some other big announcements. We have been spending a lot of time here on product development, and look forward to being able to share all of it!
Thanks for your continued support of Webb Motorsports, even through our continued growing pains. I personally pledge to continue bringing the very best products to the market, with the best warranty on the market, and the most rigorous test regime, even if I have to manufacture them myself!
Stay tuned!!
