Miltek off, Minimania on ....

Just took off my Miltek header and replaced it with a Mini Mania cat-less header that I bought from a member of this forum.
Just took the car for a test drive ....

My Miltek has about 12K miles on it and it still look practically new. As some here already know, I do a lot of track days, 12 so far this year with this header and the Cat looks to be in perfect shape. .
Mini Mania is 6 lbs lighter
Miltek is more installer friendly
Mini Mania has a raspier sound under higher revs. Race like
So far, thought only about two miles of driving, no light on the dash
Still using the Miltek cat-back system, though a straight through exhaust is ready to go. I think I may leave the Miltek resonator on as I just don't want this too loud.
Car is now about 90% track use only.

Leave it on....

I just did an OBX and stuff. Did aftermarket cat, single muffler, no resonator. Deafining! And this gaggle of little 19 year old honda tuners keeps following me around!

Just kidding on the last one, but it gets loud fast as you free up the exhaust. Without a cat you're one restriction down already. Just make sure what you use has the capacity you need!

TonyB did lots of research (as is his tendancy) on mufflers, weight, price etc. You may want to ping him about what he learned.....

If you go track only, then you can gut the inside and really cut down some weight!

Not sure I'm ready to let the Miltek go just yet. Will always listen to offers though.
