Funky Ride

Hey Chicago-burbanites,

Whenever I am traveling north on 355 a few miles before 290 it seems like my car was on a vibrating machine. I get this terribly annoying vibration front to back because of the way the cement was layed. Anyone else get this? And if so is there a best lane, or way to deal with it? It makes me feel like a paint can in one of those shakers.

I experienced a similar thing on the way home from Saturday's Club Rally. We were southbound on 294 near Ogden Ave. I think it was and the concrete there made it feel like the wheels were well out of balance. A little further on and everything was just fine. So you are not alone.

nope. just crappy IDOT road construction. the only way to deal with it cheaply is to probably slow down. the expensive way is to upgrade your suspension.

you think that's bad. you should try going east/west on I88 past naperville. talk about your poorly paved roads. you could put year old paint cans in your boot and have well mixed paint ready for use after going a few miles on that toll road
