Those optional ($1700) English leather seats for ’06 look sweet. I fantasized a British Racing Green Cooper with a silver checkerboard top, silver stripes and those cool, new retro seats…ahhhhhh.

Got it. I dashed for my 1970’s box and nabbed a nearly evaporated bottle of “English Leather”. Sprinkling the lost ambrosia liberally on the seats, (roll down windows before application) I was delighted with the result. My black panther leatherette now will be passed as “genuine English Leather” seats.



Cheap solution, fantasy in check.

 

MINI and the aftermarket seems to be doing a good job of exploring/exploiting MINI's more aggressive side...I'd personally love to see more available to explore the brand's traditional side as well.

 

Excellent alternative to MINI's PR for those optional chairs. I was surprised to learn that brand of cologne is still sold. A rather distinctive scent. Has it improved with age?

 

For the '06 MCS at least, I don't think a silver top is available. Your concept does sound cool though .

Waaaa, I want those seats! And a second Cooper to store 'em. Oh, just the vision thinking of that configuration - ooooooooh.
