Charlotte Road Trip to the Beacon 7/30

The Greenville Chapter of M2C2 is going to the Beacon in Spartanburg,SC for their monthly outing on Saturday, July 30th.

I am going to make the trip down to Spartanburg to join them. Please come join me. If you don't know about the Beacon here is a link to fill you in. I am just glad my annual physical is before this trip not after.
http://www.beacondrivein.com/

Let's meet at Hendrick MINI at about 4:30pm this Saturday 7/30 and plan on leaving at 5:00pm and motor down to meet with our Greenville Chapter. They always have a good turn out at their monthly dinners.

If you can join, please post. sorry for such short notice, we have been to busy to post with all the M2C2 events.

Thanks
George

Hey George, I might be up for this. I will talk with Pam and see if she wants to do it. I haven't been to to Beacon in years and would love to go. I need to get some new wiper blades put on the MINI and I could come down to Hendricks early and have that done then head out with you. I'll get back to you on it.

BTW, thanks for putting the dinner event together yesterday in Charlotte. We had a great time.

OK George, count me in at this point. I have made arrangements with Hendricks to put on my wiper blades in the afternoon and then I'll head out to Spartanburg with you. If plans change, I'll let you know. Man, I can almost taste the grease now!!!! I encourage anyone who has never experienced the Beacon to try it. It is an experience not soon to be forgotten.

most probably

put me down as a definite probably!

Sounds like fun, I haven't done a caravan yet. I'll let you know later in the week if I/we can go for sure.

I've heard good things about The Beacon...and it would be good to hook up with some of the SC folks.

Wish I could join you all. I never ate there, but Keith used to meet up with the BMW folks there on Saturday mornings. We lived off of Reidville and Blackstock.

Thats where I learned about Pimento cheese sandwiches and a plenty. Take your Imodium

Have fun.

PS I was test driving down at Century today. I'm getting ready:smile:

Cheers

Hope you said Hi to Henk & Max from all of us. I've got to get back down there one of these days. But with the new 05 there's no reason to visit, unlike when the 02 was young and new

Yes I'm working this weekend

and the really sad thing is; like you, I've already had my annual physical and would have plenty of time to "work" the Beacon out of my system

Enjoy

WHEN???
George and I were there for about an hour and a half visiting Oz-with-no-brain. Yes, Brent at Century has finally diagnosed a dead ECU..
It would have been great to see you!

getting warmer

Well, I think I'll be able to work out the ride to The Beacon.
I'll probably bring one of my boys with me.

So far it looks like Eric and George are going... I'm sure more will join in too.

Still meeting at Hendrick @ 4:30 and leaving at 5:00?

I had planned to make the next few Sat mornings at Hendrick, but if I go on the afternoon ride, I won't make the morning.

PS) my 1250 mile break in period will be over on my ride home from work today (I'll make sure of it) so look out!!

Thanks. It was a quickie throw-together. Needs cleanup, but It would be nice as a magnetic for the boot or a rear-window decal.

still on?

Eric, George,

Is the Beacon Road Trip on rain or shine?

I was trying to make it to Hendrick this morning since I was getting my windows tinted down the street. (they did an awesome job) but I didn't make it in time.

Im in if it's still on.

Yes we are still on. We have a couple more members going with us. I just got back from Hendrick where we signed up 2 new paid members.

I will be back there at 4:30pm and we will leave around 5:00pm or a few minutes after. I am glad you can make it. I look forward to seeing the effect of the tint on your MINI.

See you at Hendrick.

Thanks
George

Thank you all for making the drive from Charlotte to join us Greenville-ites at the Beacon. Hope your arteries didn't clog up too bad with all that grease.

good local grease...

Karen,

GREAT drive and meet at The Beacon tonite...Only problem is I can feel my arteries closing up . The cake helped out with that though.

I was right behind you all the way from The Beacon to the exit at I-85 and 14. My house is about 7 miles from there.

Count me in for Wednesday the 24th, and I DEFINITELY want to go early and see about a shirt. I'm probably bringing the Mrs. and the little 'un along too. We'll make a family night out of it!
