Does anyone know if the backplate of the OEM clear rear tails can be removed? The backplate I'm referring to is the black plastic cover that holds the soldered bulbs for the clear rear tail lights.

I want to buy the clear rear tails but would like to use my old original backplate.

yes it can be removed. I'm not sure if the connection points are the same though
