Webb Motorsports Updates
Webb Motorsports Updates
We have been hugely busy bettering the business lately!
Scott has revamped just about everything, all for the better. We now have the infrastructure that was sorely missing up until now. Before, it was all me tracking everything on a pad of paper, and the business got to the point of being impossible to handle that way.
We now have every order logged, as well as every phone message and when it was returned. E-mails are still a bit behind, but we are working on several solutions there as well.
These are things I have wanted to implement for some time, to provide the service level Webb Motorsports customers deserve, but as one guy, I was just too busy in hot rodding folks' cars to take care of the business side! Now, with Scott, Rich and James's help, we have the business side finally coming into place.
Some of the changes you will see immediately:
Scott is in the office every Monday, and can answer many questions. He is often in the office in the eveing as well.
James in the the office every other day, and can also help with many questions.
Our new website is going live with online shopping and online newsletters on Monday morning, thanks to our IT guru, Rich.
We have finished up the evaluation on several new products, and the new website reflects many of those - browse around.
Our dyno capability. It allows us to provide dyno time to customers, as well as tune and evaluate products. Several new evals will be coming shortly, the first being the Alta Crank Pulley, followed by the Larini Header, and the Fast Forward Exhaust to name a few that have data already collected.
Some of the changes you will see in the near future:
Continued updates on the website, and newsletter updates regularly.
Brand new Webb Motorsports product line items. These are on the higher end, and are very trick - they need to be fully evaled before you will see them, but they are coming and they are exciting.
A MINI performance how-to book from Webb Motorsports.
Continued working relationships with our current partners to further offerings and updates. These include Unichip, Alta, Milltek/Stratmosphere, H-Sport, UUC, M7 and others.
IMPORTANT WEBSITE INFORMATION
In order to transfer the forum to the new website, the current Webb Motorsports website will be down on Sunday night starting at 8:00pm eastern time. The new website should be fully functional, inlcuding full secure online order processing, by Monday morning.
Webb Motorsports continuing progress
I have heard rumors that folks thought I was getting out of MINIs and that was why I wasn't posting as much lately. That is ABSOLUTELY untrue. The opposite is the case.
We have been so busy between the website, the business infrastructure changes, and the new product line items (a MINI revolutionary swaybar, a MINI unique cat-back exhaust, a MINI modular performance system using intercooler, intake and a supercharger replacement), that I just haven't been able to talk to folks online. I will be back shortly, but the absence is stricly because we are all working very hard to bring new items and service to the MINI community.
One other rumor I heard was that we are leaving MINIs and starting work exclusively on the Lotus Elise. This is again ABSOLUTELY untrue! I love the MINI, I still have the Mule, and Scott, James and Rich all drive MINIs as well. I am MINI 'til I die.
We have bought an Elise and have already established strategic partnerships as well as developed our own parts for it - but it is a small part of the business. There are only 2500 Elises, after all. If you go to the shop right now, there are 4 MINIs under the roof, and only 1 Elise. That won't change.
Pulley Parties continue
Another good one I heard the other day was that I was getting out of pulley parties. As long as there is demand, I will continue to travel to you to help give you your MINI performance fix. Here are some upcoming locations:
Washington DC - July 9 and 10
Norcal Mini Meet West - July 29 and 30
Chicago - August 13 and 14
And there is talk about another Albuquerque and SoCal pulley party as well.
Webb Motorsports Still Rocks!
As you can see, we are all still very serious about maintaining our strong MINI presence, and will continue to race, autocross, test, and develop products for the MINI. Add to that our new commitment to the business (something I was never all that good at), and it becomes apparent that Webb Motorsports is finally addressing the only issue we really had - customer support availability.
I want you all to know how much I appreciate all 3200 customers we have. I started this business out of the house, and have grown to a full installation facility with 4 employees, and we will continue to grow.
If there is anything I can do to better the MINI experience for you, even if it is something unrelated to what I sell, feel free to contact Webb Motorsports. I field questions all day ranging from things such as what wheels or color should I order my MINI with, to how can I build a better pro race MINI - and I want to remain here for that.
As things get under control here - and I finally see light at the end of the tunnel - I will return more often to provide you with more in-depth how-tos, more technical advice, and more product evaluations.
Let me know if there is anything we are missing from the equation - I always appreciate advice from our customers!
Thanks again for your support - all of us here at Webb Motorsports appreciate it.
