Is my MINI almost here?

I wanted to check with those of you who have already gone through this process:

I just got a "Mind meld with your MINI" email from MINI USA, requesting my preferences for options programming and radio station presets. Does this mean that my MINI has arrived at the VDC? Does the VDC program these options, or does my dealer?

Even though I've looked at the W & W website, the location of the ship my car is on is unclear. Do MINI's destined for the midwest get offloaded in the New York/Jersey port? South Carolina?

Regardless, it seems that my car is somewhere close. Thanks for any help on this question.

It just means your MINI is en route to the VDC, however that programming is done by your dealer (when they acutally do it) and not at the VDC... Not much longer now for you.

It's good to read up and understand all those programmable options currently available* for your MINI so they can be set. It's so much easier to have all that done at one time when you get the car. The radio stuff is a snap for the owner...the other stuff requires dealer gadgets.

*I say currently because mine is an '03...what do I know about the '05s???

I got this email about 5-6 days before the dealer had my car. And they did not program my presets. I didn't bother asking them about it, I figured I'd do it myself and learn how.
