MINISonTOP...........

I can't believe it! I am one of approximately 235 MINIS who are going to ascend MT Washington tomorrow and there is not ONE thread here about it.I did searches in all possible possible combinations of verbage and Nothing , Nada, zip, zero, zilch. Is this a MINI2 only thing? there are 287 pages of one thread and almost as many of another. what is up with this? Jock

Apologies to NAM.
Unfortunately as you said, MOT has a HUGE amount of activity on MINI2 - it is as much as we organizers can do to keep track of everyone and everything on two threads over there without also trying to keep track of activity here on NAM too. Oh, and the MINIsOnTop official web site as well.

I try to visit both MINI2 & NAM but these days MINI2 wins more of my time (it was not always that way).

Jock, you are VERY welcome to carry the flag for MINIsOnTop 2006 on NAM if you want to - contact me if you want to do that, and we can liase nearer the time (ie: January next year!)

PS:
I don't know if MINIsOnTop is a "national" event; I would put it in New England regional ...

It's not quite true that we chose to not promote it here. We have found that in the two years previous we found little to no interest here at NAM and it's not worth trying to pump it up on this web site. Typically anything having to do with New England or the north east is better served by mini2 and North East MINI. Nothing wrong with that at all, we're all one big happy MINI family

Every year I want to do this, and every year it conflicts with something I have going on. This year it was scheduled on Father's Day weekend, so I was in CT.

It is "traditionally" (three times!) set for the weekend closest to the longest day ... more critically so far we have shared the tent at the auto road with the running race so that event may determine the date.
Sorry you have been unable to make it.
