BBS 17" RK vs. OZ Chrono evolutions
So then, I want to get some "summer" wheels and sticky non-run flat tires for fun use in the nice weather, maybe a track day or 2.
I like the quality of the BBS wheels and also the OZ items.
Not decided on the tires. I want something nice and grippy, I don't care about wear, as least now, just keep me on the road as best as possible - max performance.
Any suggestions or comments?
Thanks in advance.

I like the OZ and BBS wheels also. Some models really show a lot of brake, almost begs to dress up the brakes.
The current favorite sticky tire in the street tire autocross class is the Falken Azenis. They grip well, have a nice tread design, are OK in the wet and are not expensive. Reportedly they wear well for a sticky tire. Kumho Ecsta V700s are very sticky, can be used on the street, but will wear out fast and cost quite a bit more than the Falkens. A less sticky but longer lasting, high performance street tire is the Toyo Proxes T1S. These are very nice tires but more expensive. It really depends on what you are looking for and if you are going to autocross or not. I have had experience with Kumhos and Toyos but not Falkens.

Yeah, you're right about those brakes showing through! The OZ wheels would kinda want a brake upgrade to do them justice.
The Falken Azenis do look nice and gripfull, price is good and wear sounds nice. The Kumho Ecstas may not be worth a large increase in price.
An autocross is definitely in the cards, so I don't know, I think I'll go read through the reviews on tirerack.com
Do they make Goodyear F1's in our size? I don't know, or the Potenze SO3 ? Have to check around.
Life on the street is always a compromise

215/45/17 Bridgestone S 03 is immidately available. The F1 GS D3 is produced, but on backorder right now. Either tire is a great choice. The s03 is my personal favorite, but I feel the D3 is one of the best things Goodyear has turned out in years.

I'll be running 16" with R compound for autox, retiring the stock wheels with all seasons for winter and getting the 17" BBS RK's for summer fun. I've been wanting to get the Falkens but they don't make a 17" that will fit. I think that's why alot of people are going with 16's for summer use. I'm staying with 17's though and probably gonna get the S03's .....
