How do I get the "leatherette" smell back?
How do I get the "leatherette" smell back?
I have had my MINI for...
about 4.5 monthes now and it is starting to loose all of that new "MINI" smell. Partly because I believe, because I leave my golfclubs and golf shoes in it. So I am taking my golfclubs (and shoes) out! But other than that how can I make it smell new again?

You don't really want to.
I know the appeal of New Car Smell, but it's really a mix of rather nasty chemicals. I'd regret the loss of new car smell, but I'd be happy that those nasty organic molecules aren't getting into my system.

how about going to a fabric store and buying a remnant of vinyl material and then keep a strip rolled up under your seat...would add its own smell to the car...might smell like a new car or at least would smell like new vinyl
It's unnecessary on Vinyl, but try using some of the Zaino leather conditioner. I love this stuff! It has the same smell as a Coach store.
If you don't like the feel that the vinly gets with the oils etc. from the conditioner, buy a leather shift boot set (redline?) and treat it heavily with this stuff every weekend.
