SoCal H.B. Concours Caravan & Show Sunday 6/05/05 - The Scoop
SoCal H.B. Concours Caravan & Show Sunday 6/05/05 - The Scoop
For those of you that are entering their Mini or MINI in the Huntington Beach Concours d'Elegance Car Show on June 5th, we have two meeting spots for the caravan - one in the Long Beach/Lakewood area and one in Huntington Beach. See below for details:
For those of you not entering their cars, I would encourage you to come to the show as a spectator to show your support (although you don't have to get up as early as us crazy people). It is one of the best car shows of the year in Southern California and the MINI is one of the featured marquees this year. We are expecting 30 to 40 and maybe more. Plus a few hundred other amazing cars! http://www.hbconcours.org
The caravan meeting spots are as follows:
Long Beach area:
Meet at 5:45 am - Leave at 6:00 sharp.
Me & Ed‘s Pizza
4115 Paramount Blvd.,
Lakewood (just north of Carson on the west side and next to 7-11)
Huntington Beach:
Meet anywhere from 5:45 am to 6:45 - leave at 7:00 sharp
Office Max / Sport Chalet / Dietrich's Coffee
16272 Beach Blvd
Huntington Beach, CA (Just South of the 405 and North of Warner)
Please note that THIS IS A NEW LOCATION!! The first caravan is coming from Long Beach and meeting with us so that we can arrive to the show together. We need to leave Huntington Beach at 7:00 am. The show is about four miles away and we do not want to be there any later than 7:15! The gate is closed at 8:00 am sharp and we need time to get situated.

Sorry for the delayed reply. The trip to Monterey is with the WCM (West Coast MINI's club)
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/westcoastmini/
The club consists mostly of San Diego SCMMers though obviously you don't have to be in SCMM, like myself. No membership dues. You can contact the prez at donmini1@yahoo.com
We are leaving tomorrow between 3 and 5 AM. Maybe you can join us for our next trip! There are supposed to be 20 MINI's on this one.

Have fun motoring Richard! And don't forget to take lots of pix, ok
Just talked to Tim @ Wheel Power in HB; they gonna have their BMW, Porche & Ferrari at the show ... ooh, I think it's gonna be an interesting show

Just a reminder. Those attending as spectators only, it opens at 10:00. I sure hope some of you show up. This is one of the best and largest car shows in Southern California and the Mini is the featured car this year. I would expect a little more interest. Anyway, over 40 Minis registered so it should be lots of fun.
