OK, Ferman said they have no idea how to adjust the sensativity ofthe auto headlights, but they did see the problem of them coming on way too early on some recent cars.

Does anyone have any official or walkthrough information on the programming so I can train my dealer once again?

 

I haven't had any problems with my auto headlights and it seems to me the factory calibration for the photo-sensor is correct. I think the auto headlamps I used to have in a GM sedan a few years ago were a lot more sensitive.

Honestly I don't know if the sensitivity is something that can be calibrated via the GT-1 computer interface. My gut feeling is yes but then again it may not be at all.

Post your question over at www.MINI2.com since some folks there are more technically oriented and may be familiarized with this fairly new feature.

You can also call Lauderdale MINI's service department and ask them about it. Those folks are very knowledgeable when it comes to "obscure" features of the car. Thier number is (954)763-4777. Select option #1 for the Ft Lauderdale BMW location, then ask to speak to Lamont Thomas, MINI service advisor.

Thanks, I'll give them a call. I've seen a couple posts where people have had it adjusted already, I know it can be done.

 

Auto Headlight sensitivity is supposedly adjustable, but neither me nor the service tech could find it on the menus after he hooked up to my car. I have a Mar 2005 build.

We couldn't find sensitivity of rain sensing wipers either.
