I liked the looks of the prototypes better. Something about the vents and the "new beetle" fog lamps isn't working for me.

EDIT - LOL at first glance I thought you said Cayenne! The Cayman looks awesome!

Incidently, They REALLY need to go back to model numbers. Their names are stupid.

I am reserving my judgement until I see it in the flesh. I had high hopes for it being sexier and curvier then the turtleback 911 form from the prototypes, but the new release photos from the side now look a bit odd, not the nice lines it seemed it would be like.

So far it doesn't look like it will not come close to having the nice butt of my M Coupe :D

This is the photo from the side that made me think twice - the line of the roof/back windshileld to the fender... I dunno. Again, will wait to decide until I see it

The Cayman looks interesting... some nice lines on that car.... depending on the angle your viewing from. How much does it go for?

And what about all the other info? Is it basically the Boxter underpinnings?

The profile looks good for the front half of the vehicle, then Porsche seems to have screwed the pooch. The roof line peaks too soon, and drops off too abruptly; additionally, it seems that there is a hatch access or maybe a side opening rear door a la XKE-Coupe, all wrong for this car. Also the glass behind the door is inelegant to say the least.

Send the design team to California to learn how to do a sports coupe right.

This photo kind of sucks for evaluating the roofline because the car isn't level. It does seem to look a little bit better if you tilt your head into line with it.

The rear end is what reminds me of the Beetle, not the foglights (although maybe those would too, if I had any idea what the Beetle foglights looked like). I can't think of any other car where the rear slopes down between the fenders in that distinct way.

The 911 has turned into a luxo-barge. It doesn't even have a dip stick any more.

Hopefully, the Cayman will turn out to be what the 911 used to be -- an honest, driver-centric, "bulletproof", sports car. But I doubt it.

Faster than a Porsche Boxster S by 15 HP. I love it. It will look great beside my Mini Sa.

65,000 $ for the "S" gets you 295 HP, faster than the base 911, 0-60 in 5 sec. and perfect mid engine handling.....

More storage than the 911 too, use the link I provuded in the first post to see it and read about the details

I like the profile the more I look at it. The rear kind of keeps growing on me. I still like the Carerra S better.

Revising my opinion from lost cause to wait and see it in the flesh, as this pic. does the rump justice.
