MINImen on campus

Does this look familiar? At the University of Santa Clara NAM folks seen carrying on in the traditional manner: "Yup. Sure looks like an air filter."

Thanks, everyone, for the help and support to a newbie MINI owner this afternoon. My first time driving a MINI (or being in a moving MINI) and it is DIFFERENT. It is the 3rd most different car I have driven (65 VW Beetle being 1st because I broke off the gearshift within 5 seconds; and a Lancia Stratos being 2nd because it was too loud). But it sure feels solid (dense--a high specific gravity?)--amazingly so compared to other cars with its weight. And while driving home on the highway at 7:30 pm I was able to use the clever side mounted sun visor (yes, I know people have called it stupid). Also I was going almost 70 when I thought I was doing 55 (even with such a large speedometer I could not easily locate the 55 tick). Such a smooth and quiet little car. Deceptively fast. [For this first drive I might have been comparing the MINI to my faithful car of the last 11 years, a 1994 Geo Tracker (I admit it wasn't a lot of fun).] And the MINI has so many gizmos! I was afraid to touch anything. Thanks to Eric Rowland for pointing out, when I was using my fingers to push at the side mirrors, that they are power operated. Good thing I got an MCSa so I only had to find "D" and cruise the 40 miles to home, attaining a high of 2400 rpm on the way. A splendid motorcar. I look forward to driving it again someday.

Huh? Is that image as small on other people's screens as it is on mine? I kept paring down the image until it was around 19kb. Sorry. I will try again.

Thanks, DID. You're right. It was an Acrobatpdf and now it's a jpeg, but still kinda small. I will re-edit.

I will keep trying until the image is better. Looks worse quality than a pic in USA Today. Sorry, folks.
