When they catch that guy I say we all get some quite time with him.... or at the very least make him drink a few gallons of the oil he likes to spill.....

Even the sand was not fun. I missed the oil on the road as the TNDOT had already applied the sand but I did a full 4 wheel slide on the sand in 1 turn....

MAY 6, Friday: The TAIL IS BACK AT DEALS GAP. Friday was our first day back on the Dragon for our retail sales and an information booth for Killboy. We welcomed some of the 411 Mini Coopers that registered for the rally this weekend. We found several corners on the Dragon that were deliberately oiled. Thanks to the several riders and Tenn.DOT who did their best to clean up the mess. There is recovered evidence. If you have any information that leads to an arrest we are offering a $500 reward. One rider went down at the Hump which brought out the TNHP & BCSO, injuries did not appear to be serious. We did hear of one Mini wreck (with no injuries), but don't know any details. The weather will be great this weekend, come out and watch the show !!

This is a post I made in the other oil thread earler today.

"About 7:30 AM Friday morning 4 of us were at Deals Gap giving a couple cars and a truck some distance before we took off for the over-look. As we made our run we saw the glass and oil that had just been thrown on the road, but we can’t identify who did it.

At the over-look one of the road crews was coming by and we flagged them down and explained what we saw. They got to work on the spots immediately picking up the glass and sanding the spots. There were 5 in all.

The person or persons know the road because the oil/glass was at very high speed turns only, not just at random droppings."

oil

the oil i ran into was on sunday. same deal. killboy has the info on the suspected culprit as well as the N.C. authorities. hopefully hell be caught soon. i would call it attempted murder as someone could get killed as a result.

If nothing else, it is dumping of hazardous materials in a State or National Forest which is also a serious offense and I think is what they would be most likely to charge someone with. At least this would also mean jailtime if convicted so they wouldn't get off for it if they couldn't convince a jury of attempted murder

Another update from www.tailofthedragon.com We saw the first of 5 new oil slicks on our way out yesterday.

May 8, Sunday: South bound lane with 5 (new) deliberate oil spots on the dragon, TN DOT spread sand. Law Enforcement has a good lead on a suspect. Three Motorcycle LEO's on the Dragon today, they were pretty upset about the oil spills. Road should be in good shape Monday. Quiet day on the Dragon, no serious incidents other than the oil spills.
