Greetings from your new president
Greetings from your new president
Hi All! Some of you know me already, so this will serve as an introduction to those who don't. As you're aware of, Kevin Richards has resigned as president of M2C2. I've been selected by the board to take over this position for the remainder of his term. My name is Bob Smyntek. I've been an active M2C2 member for a bit over 2 years now. During this time I've travelled to and participated in events all over the Carolinas. I look forward to the chance to guide the club into the future.
Please bear with us during the transition phase, and the initial, for lack of a better term, confusion, that it entails. We'll get it all sorted and continue on track as quickly as we possibly can. If you need to contact me for any reason you can do so at:
moorlockx@aol.com.
Thanks for your patience and support! .....and if you haven't done so already, please vote on the proposed club bylaws.

Congratulations, Moorlockx! This is going to be fun.
Moorlockx and I discussed some great ideas this afternoon and I'm excited to see new enthusiasm for m2c2. I think the members will like what is coming.
Many thanks to Kevin Richard for serving during some difficult times. The club is now working much more smoothly, thanks largely to his work.
I'm looking forward to working with Moorlockx and know that the rest of the board joins me in welcoming him and in supporting him.
Lee Johnson, m2c2 VP

Bob congratulations on becoming our new President.
You are a good choice and will serve the club well. For members that are new and may not know you yet, I can tell them that Bob has attended more M2C2 events than any other member and has had to drive farther than most members to get there. I first met Bob about 2 years ago when he drove from Fayetteville to Asheville to join the Western North Carolina group for dinner on a week night. I remember thinking then that this guy was one dedicated MINI driver. Over the last 2 years Bob has continued that same enthusiasm for the club. The past 2 years Bob has organized a New Years day drive in the mountains of NC while living in Fayetteville.
I would also like to thank Kevin for his time being President of M2C2. I had the opportunity of being the first M2C2 President. I know first hand that our club has and is growing in the right direction. Kevin was able to make many improvements to the club and has left the club in better shape than when he received it. Thanks again Kevin and we all hope that your health condition improves quickly.
So Bob, congratulations again and thank you for taking on this responsibility. I know that you will do a good job. I will support your efforts and be glad to help you in any way that I can. I look forward to your efforts in the coming months with excitement.

Thanks

Congratulations Bob. I'm going to start practicing "Hail To The Chief" on my banjo so I can play for you at the next meeting. In the meantime, please let me know if there is anything I can do for you and the club.

Congrats Bob. I know you'll do a great job. You have my full support. And thanks to Kevin for the job he has done. I feel very good about where I see things going. This is a great bunch of folks to be associated with.

I have no idea who you are (or the others in this thread as far as that goes
) but from your well-written introduction, it appears you are well suited for the position.
Bring some events to the Charlotte area, and I'm up for it.
