is there any internet access available in Robbinsville?

... either from Fontana or maybe a public library, or ( ) a Robbinsville Cyber Cafe ?? I'd like to be able to check up on things back home, email, security, etc...

I could bring a notebook computer, but I don't have a dial up account anymore, so really I need a public computer somewhere with internet access.

Any leads??

The last time I was at Fontana, in October, I saw at least one little email station at the registration lobby area at Fontana. I understand that the Microtel has internet access. I'm not sure about whether there are any local internet cafes, though.

there used to be an internet cafe next to the Microtel, but it closed...I think. The Microtel should have high-speed access this year, but I think it's only accessible if you're staying there.
you might have to do with out for this year. Robbinsville is so small, I don't think it has a libarary and if it does, it might not be wired.
Of course I could be completely wrong, but ya won't know til ya get there.

You might have to look the other direction... Towards Maryville, I would bet there's a Starbucks or a Borders there...

Tapoco had internet access last year and graciously allowed me to use it even though I was not staying there. It was in a room beside the registration desk.

You've probably thought of this, but you could bring the laptop and test out AOL. Pick up a free trial disk before leaving home.

Do the cabins have phone lines to use dial up? I'm come to terms with not having internet, but my parents are coming along and my dad, even when he's away, cannot be fully away from work.

Yes most if not all of them do. (There were a few last year that didn't but I think that's been fixed) However, given where we are and the general quality of the phone lines, he might want to brace himself for blisteringly fast speeds of 14.4kbs that is if he's lucky.
