Hello out there in MINI land!

I ordered my MC and am expecting the delivery in June of a health hyper blue with a white roof and white wheels! I am very excited! This MINI is a gift to myself for completing graduate school - and frankly, after all the hard work - I deserve it!

So - a little bit about myself. This MINI will be the first car in my 40+ years on the planet to have all five of my criteria for a perfect car. It's cute, little, blue, has a sunroof, and a cup holder! I'm not that hard to please!

My husband of 20 years - Phil (PhilPug) - thinks that I got the wrong color. He said I should have gotten a silver MC with a red interior. I told him that if I was paying for it - I got to pick the color! Ha! Ha! LOL! If he wanted to pay for it, I would be quite happy to drive a silver and red MINI! - But, alas - He was too cheap to pay! He would rather spend more money putting after market stuff on his Miata! A silver with a blue interior. Anyway, I've been telling him about that after market stuff - "Don't confuse what you can do with what you should do" - Ya know what I mean?

We live in Newtown Square, PA and we have a 15 year old son, Tyler(soon to be 16 next month). Any of you living with teenagers know what that's like. We also have a dog, a mutt, named Larry.

We that's all for now. I am waiting for June and my MINI to arrive! Thanks for listening!

Lola

Lola! Congrats on the degree AND THE MINI! What a great gift to self! My degree won't be complete until January of next year, but I couldn't wait! Micia was my "half-way to a BSIT"! I am a firm believer in instant gratification, so I am awed at your ability! Once again, congrats! Can't wait to see pics of a hyper blue with white roof and find out if you have discovered the secret to keeping your son from "borrowing" your vehicle!

Happy motoring,
Kristin

Hooray for the new owners!!!!! Lola, don't worry...you'll find lots of folks here are ga-ga over HB/W. Congrats on the new degree...awesome accomplishment!!!

I hate to say it but, once you're a MINI owner you'll probably wind up ammending your list for automotive perfection.......#6: A Complete Blast!!!!!!! MINIs are a tough act to follow so it's great you're getting hooked up properly.

Try to enjoy your wait and learn all you can about tracking your MINI on its way home. Won't be long!!!

Yeah, welcome to the forum. I will say, as many cars as I have brought home, Lola has never been as excited about one as much as this Mini. I am very proud of her accomplishments and what Lola has competed to gat this reward. We will be fighting over which events to attent, either Mini or Miata events, runs and tech days. Things will be interesting. BTW, the Miata has dibs on the garage!!!!

I live near you guys! finally someone i can meet!!!!!!!! I live in haverford and am the happy 15-year-old son of a father that just took delivery of a LY/B MCS and loves it! the thing is, he is not a true MINIac. he doesn't feel the bug to mod the car to MINI heaven! but as soon as the 3-year warranty is gone, there's NO way that a turbokompressor is NOT going on the engine! I can't wait for that day... in the meantime, a militek and one-ball exhaust scream our name.

OMG. I never considered it but my son is almost 13 and he has been looking at my MINI kinda funny-like. I thought it was a "I will look good getting dropped off at school in that" look.

But what if...it's a..."I will look good driving that to school in a few years" look!!!!!!!

*&%$ kids! First you eat all the hot pockets, now you want my MINI!

Oh and welcome Lola , I picked up a black beauty '03 MCS a few weeks ago and have never smiled so much on a commute. I suggest, however, that you keep a close eye on that 15 year old!

Congrats on the degree and the MINI. I see from your husband's post why he likes the silver but I think you made the right colour choice, very sharp.

Watch the kid and get that garage nonsense sorted out and you're all set.

and now the wait begins....

Welcome to NAM, Lola! Congrats on your academic achievement and on the impending delivery of your new HB MINI! There are plenty of NAMsters who also own Miatas.
