16" B3 and Konig FreeFall (225/45/16)

So I just got my new Big Brake Kit, Wheels, and tires:
Old ones (Brembo BBK, 17" OZ Racing Superleggera White, 215/40/17)

Nice (I think) but I wanted bigger tires, and unfortunately most BBKs out there are made for 17" wheels and bigger,

So I looked into, and eventually got, the B3 BBK (check the sponsor directory on this site) and they offer a BBK for 16" wheels
So here is a pic of the 16" B3 BBK with Konig Freefall 16" wheels and 225/45/16 Toyo T1s (a 3mm spacer was necessary for these particular wheels)

First the brakes - These are amazing...not only do they look great (IMHO) but in street applications (as I haven't taken them to the track yet) they work as good, if not better than the Brembos because they are silent

The Wheels - I think these look awsome, better than the OZs and sizing down to a 16" wheel has not only made it possible to fit a bigger tire, but believe it or not, has improved my MPG by 1.2.

The Tires - I am now running 225/45/16 with practically no rubbing. I say practically because we got the front right tire to rub under severe cornering with 2 people in the car, but haven't reproduced it yet. (Note that my car has PSS9s and is lowered about 2" from stock) We also got some rubbing when making a not so slow U-Turn.

So take it from a very satisfied customer, go big with your tires, and if your interested in a Big Brake Kit but don't want to pay too much, Give RLMini a call

Note: I am not Affiliated with B3, Konig, or Toyo. I am simply a very VERY satisfied customer who feels he finally got what he paid for

Thanks,

They are $900. and that includes the rotors, brackets, calipers, brake lines, and bolts. I'm was lucky enough that I live not too far from Dallas, so RLMini insalled them on himself, but I know that most of the people that have bought them from him have actually installed them themselves (he even got a call from someone asking him a question while I was there

You can go the the NAM store for more info on them

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do...

I have absolutely no regrets

I just hope that the Brembos will find a good home behind some other mini's wheels and that and that it'll bring them as much joy and happiness as it did to me
