Going to LA for a day or two...

Hey Everyone. Coming on Down to LA tomorrow for a day or two. Anything happening down there? Any ideas of some cheap hotel rooms. Finally talked the lady into going out of town. Leaving tomorrow morning. You can look for me... Im a DS/B MCS with Union Jack Mirror caps.

When I wasn't living here and was travelling to visit, I have had good luck in the past with Extended Stay America and Courtyard by Marriot. Both of those have several locations in the L.A. area.

Any itinerary?
My spring break begins tomorrow (I'm a schoolteacher).
I'll try to keep an eye out for you.

Where in SoCal? We should have a pub get-together with local MINI folk and hoist a few Guinnesses!

Where do you think a good central location is where we can park our MINIs together, without valet hasslers? There's a Brennan's on Lincoln, near the Marina, but I haven't been there in YEARS!

Juan or goaljnky, any fun suggestions?

Trying to park anywhere in LA would be a hassle. That's just the way it is. But Marina sounds good. I ususally don't get to that neighborhood a lot, so it would be a nice change of pace. Keep me posted on this, sounds like fun.

Okay! I'll go by Brennan's at lunchtime tomorrow and see what the parking situation is like. Depending on what time we get there, we may get decent parking. Or, we could invade the nearby Harley dealership! (I have a sick fantasy of the old knocking-them-over-like-dominoes scenario! To have a MINI do that to big honkin' hogs would be so AWESOME!)

No way. Can't go to the Harley shop. The wife's been whispering VRod into my ear for months now. I already bought two cars on impulse. Buying a bike would be bad, wouldn't it?

Edit: Better make it a Saturday night. Already got plans tomorow.

Saturday night is fine with me. That also gives goldie a chance to get settled into his lodgings on Friday.

I was only kidding about the Harleys. I've been jonesing for one for YEARS!

edit: check out Marina del Rey lodgings, goldie: http://california-discounthotels.com...els/120849.asp

What would it look like? Towing a Harley with a Mini?

No, no, no! You'd have wifey drive the MINI home and you'd ride the new hog!

Pub Report

Okay, I motored past Brennan's, at 4089 Lincoln Blvd, Marina del Rey, 90292, and it has a nice parking lot on the northern side.

Who is up for meeting there Saturday night? What about 6 or 6:30 PM? I think if we get there that early, there will probably be plenty of parking for our MINIs.

Post here if you want to get together. Hopefully, goldcountrymini will see this!

I am pretty sure I have a tattoo apointment tomorow around that time. So let me see if I can move it to earlier in the day. Otherwise I am in.
