Do any of you wise people out there in MINI land know if the paint job on the 05MC are clearcoats? I have an 05 CR/W MC.

I'm trying to figure out which Zaino product to use.

Yes, the '05 MC/MCS is clear coat. Claybar first (even new), and use Z2.

i have a black car (not my mini) that i use zaino on - after two applications it looks a foot deep.


i do use zaino on my vehicles, but black (imo) shows it's true quality

 

Z1, Z2, and Z6. Got 3 coats on my new 2005 MCS. Makes it look wet as hell. Helps with dirt and dust as well. I noticed a big difference after a rain which would normally leave my cars looking really dirty. The rain and dirt just slid right off. Bugs don't hardly stick at all either. Zaino is the best, even at $40 (for the above 3 products) it's a bargain. Just make sure to read the instructions and pay attention to the time period between coats and drying times.

The best thing about it is the ease of taking it off. Hardly any white residue, and it doesn't turn those black trim pieces white like carnuba wax does. I'm definately a convert.
