Feeler: XM Roady 2 + 2 home kits & 50' Antenna Extension
Feeler: XM Roady 2 + 2 home kits & 50' Antenna Extension
Hey all,
So I am thinking about taking the plunge into the Apple Ipod world. If I do this I can take my 55GB of music with me everywhere and I will no longer feel the need to have XM Satellite Radio service.
I have the Roady 2 XM tuner which I have been using since August. Works wondefully. It came with the micro antenna to mount on the car, cigarette lighter power adaptor and a tape deck converter so you can play it through a cassette player. It has an FM Modulator built in. I bought a home kit for it which includes a nice stand, a remote control, AC power adaptor and an antenna. I then bought a 50' Antenna Extension cable so I could have it in my office at work. I put the antenna at a window about 40' away.
I also have a second home kit which I just got recently as a rebate. It has another AC power adaptor, another home antenna and a stand which isn't as nice as the other one.
If you were interested in getting XM you could have it in your home, office and car with this set up. The Roady 2 cost me $140, the home kit $40, the extension cable $50 and the 2nd home kit was free. I'd be willing to sell it all for $150 obo.
If anyone would be interested let me know and I'll keep you updated on my status. If I am gonna move on the Ipod it would probably be in April sometime.
You can PM or email me or post here.
