2005 Red MCS w/ Fog Light Retrofit ....

Thought I would post this picture of my red 2005 MCS rear bumper with new rear fog light...

I think it looks cool, perhaps some have not seen it....

That looks cool. I'll probably get mine added when I bring it in for its first service. My car came with the switch and wiring installed already. I just have to add the light. I suppose if the dealer installs it, it's covered under warranty. If I install it myself, what would get voided from the warranty other than the foglight?

Rear fogs are red, and much brighter than tail lights. The idea is that in heavy fog, cars following you can see you from farther away, so that they can leave more distance between you and them.

I am always horrified at the way people drive on Interstate 5 (through Central California) in heavy fog. Haven't these people ever heard of the concept of "stopping distance"?

I suspect. . .

Most are driving from Los Angeles to San Francisco or Visa Versa... and totally in their own oxygen deprived environments, oblivious to physics...

Some day the art of driving will be gone entirely, replaced by the same code the Roomba Robot Vaccum uses....
