How to plug the intake tube when deleting the noisemaker pipe, cheap
This is an alternative and cheap way. I did not reinstall yet. I also did not take many pictures.
1- take a coke bottle cap and shove it in the pipe to which the noisemake tube was attached. Keep it at least 1/8 below the end of the pipe connection.
2- take a drill and drill a hole through the pipe and the cap. Take a screw and screw it in as shown in the pic. The drill hole should be a little smaller than the screw so you can screw itnin, not only slide it. The screw will avoid that the bottle cap pops out.
Cut the screw portion that extrudes outside the surfaces of the pipe.
3- optional step, you can heat the edges of the pipe connection to melt them a little and push them inaide to form a little step. I did it but mayne not necessary.
4 - fill in with epoxy the volume from the cap to the end of the pipe. You need to roughen up the surfaces, otherwise epoxy won't really grab well on these surfaces. I used a knife to have deeper roughing scratches. The epoxy is there to primarly try and fill all the small holes around the coke bottle cap.
5- let the epoxy cure.
6- find a cap, in my case from a 1 liter bottle of fork oil. The cap should have threads that interfere with the lip on the pipe connection so you need to push it and it won't come out easily.
7- fill in this second cup with epoxy and push it on the pipe. If epoxy is not oozingg out through the sides of the cups add epoxy in that area until filled. When the epoxy will cure, it should fill in all spaces and make it impossible to come out. The epoxy should also fill in the volume between the 1 cap and the inside of the second one.
8- you can heat the epoxy a little with a hairdryer to make it a little more fluid and fill nicely everything
