Painted Cover

Here is a picture of my Intercooler cover on my 05 MCSC, Cool Blue matching the body color.
I also had the skidplate painted Cool Blue also.

One thing to remember is that on a lot of MINIs, that chunk of foam under the hood around the opening of the hood scoop, will leave a dirty heat mark on the cooler cover. I painted mine up all nice by myself, and within no time it was scorched by that damn foam, heat and dirt. And it doesn't wash off for some damn reason either. So wasted time, money and paint on that one. So unless someone here has a way around that issue, you may want to reconsider.
Cheers,

Cheers,
Using canned paint will burn. My cover was professionally paint with PPG paint mixed to color match with 3 coats of paint. Then cover with 3 coats of PPG 3000 clear. The cover was then buffed out and waxed. The cover does have some of the marks from the foam but wipe off with a little wax. the clear is really tough. I used the same process on my skidplate.
