Looking for replacing my cracked stock intake manifold. Most aftermarket ones seem to be incompatible with the stock air intake. Anyone had experience with the Aluminum JMTC intake manifold for N14/18? How much will heat soak affects the performance in Gen2?

 

It looks like an acceptable replacement for the stock manifold. It has the cold climate PCV hose routing, too, which should be beneficial.

Heat soak might be the only issue with it. But, I wouldn't think it would be an issue unless you do a lot of stop-n-go driving.

 

I wish they lengthened the runners a bit and enlarged the throat more than the stock unit. I planned on getting one too but they could of made it a large improvement over the stock one with a little effort in CAD.

 

FYI, this will NOT work on the N18 engine.

 

I think there is another variant for N18 listed as Part#: JM-IMN18. But you are right the link above is only for N14 (JM-IMN14)
