Help Verifying Factory Options & Build Sheet – 2009 Mini Cooper S (Manual, PepperWhit
Hi all,
I’m preparing to list my much enjoyed (okay: beloved) 2009 Mini Cooper S (R56) for sale and would like help confirming some original factory options.
I’ve had this Mini since new—it’s Pepper White with twin black racing stripes, 6-speed manual, leather seats, Harman/Kardon stereo, panoramic roof, and other upgrades.
One small dent on the front hood where my husband dropped a drill from a ladder while building his shop (🙄.
Anyway, VIN decoding confirmed some of this, but I’d love to double check with folks here about what’s included in the original build (I’m in California).
I want to be completely transparent with potential buyers.
What’s the best way to confirm original packages (e.g., Premium, Sport, Cold Weather)?
I’ve used the MDecoder VIN site but would also appreciate any tips on where to look on the car itself for clues (seat labels, trunk panel, etc.).
Thanks so much! I’m happy to post more photos if helpful.

p.s. why selling? Now 70 years old, I purchased a used 2022 Mini Cooper S in December 2024 for CarPlay, new features, automatic transmission, etc Definitely not as much fun to drive as the manual R56 but also a very nice car! (across the street in this photo). I’m finally ready to let go so a new owner can enjoy this wonderful car. I know other people say “omg, get rid of this car!” but it’s been amazing and mostly trouble-free for me, with routine maintenance and regular repairs as needed. Will need new shocks pretty soon. 2009 Mini Cooper S - one owner, looking to prepare accurate information for a Mini Marketplace “for sale” listing
