CD Changer Magazine Question

I recently sold my 6 disc changer to another MINI owner. He was able to install it, and the head unit is able to detect it. The head unit says on the display, "no magazine". The thing is, there is a magazine in it, but it won't come out. The changer worked perfectly in my car, but the new owner is having trouble getting the magazine out. Any help or suggestions?
Thanks, guys.

Last time I saw this was because the magazine wasn't properly inserted all the way. Maybe he put it in sideways? Maybe he put the CD's in the magazine upside down???
