Mini R53 Six Speed Automatic external cooler mod

So, we have a 2005 R53 with the Six Speed Automatic - not CVT. Got the car new in 2005 - Feb 05 Prod date. Now at 178K.,

The transmission had been acting up in the last 18 months or so. The Valve Body was rebuilt at 130K, but it was flare shifting and getting quite crappy when hot.
So, it went off to a shop in San Diego, and got a full rebuild, new valve body, Torque converter, and we replaced that heat exchanger can with a real air to liquid cooler - bypassing the radiator.
Will try to get some pics loaded, but I am not near the car. We also used Liqui Moly synthetic ATF. So far, we have put 250 miles on it - it seems very happy. Will keep this updated as the miles add up.

what adapter did you use on the transmission side ? im building an automatic convertible and will be doing the same , the cooler and extra lines will add one more quart of fluid and keep the temperatures way down , that's the #1 killer on these transmissions HEAT .
would love to see pictures.

this - I ordered the adapter- flat plate, and it now runs to an external cooler. The heater hose loop has been looped aside.

I paid via card, and they sent it. No issues at all. I did order this a year ago, and just had it done now. They have videos.
