Need advice on a seller-
Has anyone done business with New Generations Cooper?
https://www.facebook.com/share/17FFL8BD1W/
They seem large and legitimate, but a few things seem possibly worrisome:
I asked about some wheels that look great, price and shipping are spot on, I want to buy them. They even sent more photos.
However, they are really pushing urgency on doing the deal. I started to look into the profile and I see lots of British plates and British buyers, but they say the wheels are in California and shipping is only $60 to get to me in Buffalo NY. Are you US.. or...?
Also, they mentioned their PayPal is unavailable due to some problem (which does have some buyer protection), Venmo is unavailable, and they can do Zelle which doesn't offer any buyer protection - they REALLY started pushing urgency after I said I could Zelle.
I don't want to picture a con rubbing his palms together going "He can Zelle!", and I also don't want to miss out on finally finding non-curbed wheels for my summer car.
There's also a Telegram profile (I don't have Telegram) "new generation cooper garage"

Can anyone vouch for this business? This seller?
Yeah I wouldn't touch that place with someone else's credit card. Super sketch.
Agreed.
Such a shame - these scammers.
It's tough finding a curb-free set of the wheels on my R52 S. But that's OK, that's my fun summer car. Still looks OK from a distance.
Recaro cs seats for sale at 750 quid is a scam all day long
pictures of people in Eastern Europe holding parcels of “parts delivered “ is a data protection nightmare waiting to happen
that would close any legitimate businesses in weeks once lawyers got involved.
shipping looks to be wrapped in over 20 different locations, with different set of materials used every hour of the day
method of shipping seems to be whoever is passing with a truck, half a dozen different sets of fed-Ex labels fonts/styles from the last 20 years
Pictures of covid masks on about 5 different staff members…exact same number of followers and likes, 3.4 thousand,
but only 54 gullible members in the group …
Although my first clue was "...those women do not look like MINI enthusiasts who are wrenching their own parts". I thought exactly the same as you - if not employees, maybe this scammer was going around to his family and saying "Hold this box and I'll hold your photo". Who takes a picture when they get a random package of a part that shows up?
But I agree- the pictures of all the different packages in different locations, no sign of a common facility, even several packages from a common location?
And the same for the parts themselves. The photos where the backgrounds the parts are on are all different - nothing common across them - they ALL look like a collection of images from a creative Google search.
