For those who have replaced your vacuum pump

I just heard some ticking in the engine bay - and think it is the vacuum pump. What brand have others used ? Pierburg seems to offer a version half price of Genuine Mini - which I assume function/behave the same since Pierburg is an OEM manufacturer.

Just observed the ticking this week, but might have been there for a while, as I don't hear it when in the car. Heard it when in NC on monday. Still hear it in FL, but not as obvious - so believe warmer weather has an effect
