Question Cheap Exhaust?

I'm looking at getting an exhaust for my R60 but really don't want to spend $400+ for a catback.

I hate to say it but Walmart has an OBX Catback Exhaust for about $120.

I know, before anyone makes any assumptions, let me lay out some questions everyone will be asking.

What are my plans for this car?
It's my daily and I do not plan to make any super power gains. I am happy at where it is at (stock-ish). I'm also not looking for any power gains whatsoever.
I do not plan to tune either.

What's your reasoning for getting an exhaust?
I am looking to get a little more sound out of the car as it's just wayyy too quiet for my liking. Used to own a 06 Forester XT and you know how that goes with the rumbles.
I want to make the sound more pleasing without going Straight pipe as I've done it before on my old 96 3kGT and it was nice with the Raw V6 but it can be a little loud 🤣😅.
I miss having some exhaust/turbo noises when in sports mode.

Why don't you look up some videos?
I have and love the sounds of a few but at the end of the day, they're all pretty $$$.
I've not found a single review or video on the OBX exhaust specifically for the R60 which lead me here.

I'm hoping someone can let me know their experience with it or have any videos on the loudness of it.
I hope to just replace the catback with it and be done without having to cut anything else.

TIA.

You don't want to go straight pipe... That exhaust is effectively straight pipe with two very small "mufflers" on the end. That exhaust is going to be loud.

I'm actually kind of shocked, my 16 CMS A4 just put on a Megan Racing and its actually quieter than I was expecting. While cutting off the factory exhaust I drove it around with nothing after the axle and it too was quieter than I would have thought. Not sure if the Turbo quiets it down or maybe just being a 1.6l can only get so loud etc.... I thought it would be V8 loud with no exhaust at all and it pretty much sounds the same as with the stock or Megan Racing on it, not a huge difference.

Is there not a cat by the DP?

I feel like it would still be quite quiet.

I currently have the exhaust and it's not really that loud it is noticeable deeper and you can hear it a more and clearer in the cabin but im sure once i have the downpipe installed it will be alot louder . Its really easy to install with a pipe cutter and they give you a coupler adapter I was done in about 30min .
